Northwest Arkansas
I’m excited to share some details of our family getaway to Northwest Arkansas. It was sort of a mini graduation celebration for my son and daughter. My daughter graduated last December and was able to participate in her graduation ceremony. My son graduated in May and because of COVID, his graduation ceremony was cancelled. We had a big family vacation planned in June to celebrate both, and this was cancelled as well. So, we were all able to get a few days off at the same time, and off we went! We met my daughter in Fayetteville and had brunch at The Farmers Table. It was delicious, and I would definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area. We booked a house through VRBO on Lake Avalon in Bella Vista. We were able to relax in a quiet, peaceful location, but were close enough to Bentonville and Rogers to easily drive back and forth. Our first stop was Top Golf. It was a lot of fun! No need to be a great golfer if that is your concern. :) The atmosphere is fun and the staff was extremely helpful. We also visited the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in BellaVista. The chapel and the grounds surrounding it were stunning. A must see. Next stop was the Momentary, a satellite to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. We enjoyed a great cup of coffee from the Onyx Coffee Lab while we walked around and saw an amazing art display. We also visited Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. It was not our first visit, and each time I am reminded what an impressive collection of art is housed right here in Arkansas.
